As U.S. Representative, I would propose a new Federal Law to outlaw cryptocurrency in all its forms. Cryptocurrency undermines the soundness of the U.S. dollar and threatens the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency, and ultimately the U.S. economy. Cryptocurrency has no purpose other than speculation, tax avoidance, plain vanilla fraud and international fraud, and gun running, drug and enemy money laundering. Cryptocurrency is not only a threat to the U.S. dollar, but a threat to the U.S. writ large and must be outlawed before truly growing out of control and inflicting potentially catastrophic damage.
