Meet Larry

Business leader. Entrepreneur. Lifelong Democrat. First-time candidate for Congress.

Lawrence D. Poster is a business leader, volunteer and mentor and lifelong Democrat.

He is founder of Catalyx Group, a Strategy & Executive Search Firm focused on high technology, biotechnology and medtech. He is a graduate of MIT and has served as an active member of the boards of the MIT Enterprise Forum, MIT Club of Northern New Jersey and as the Chair of the MIT Sloan Club of New York. He has often judged student projects at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, business plans of Rutgers MBA students, of entrepreneurs entered in national and African startup competitions, and originated the idea for a running Female Founders competition. Larry loves theater and has coproduced four musicals as Asparagus Entertainment. He has also run four NYC marathons. This is his first time running for political office. Larry has been living with his wife in Essex County for 35 years, the last 5 in West Orange.

“My purpose in running for Congress is to fight for the soul of America. To fight for America and the working and middle class. I have no political boss. I’m here to champion you. Every day in office I’ll strive to support your kitchen-table needs and those of your family. As your Congressman and from my bully pulpit I will fight tirelessly to restore your American Dream, defend democracy, defend your safety, promote growth, preserve the environment and, more than anything, work without end to assure that America succeeds and that America will be a far better place for your children and grandchildren. We are the backbone of America. It is time for a re-balancing of our economy. It is time for a new ‘New Deal’ in America.
