Safety & Security with Real ID

Real ID is the gold standard of ID systems used by states and motor vehicle departments in all 50 states. Nearly 60% of all motorists in U.S. already hold Real ID’s. It is widely forecast that by 2030 many more will and also that by then nearly 60% of all motorists will own mobile driver’s licenses (mDL’s). New purposes for Real ID call for additional protections. Once additional protections are built in and about 85% – 95% of U.S. citizens have Real ID (ideally by the early 2030’s), legislation proposed by Larry mandating U.S. federal rollout of secure Real ID systems would take effect.

These systems will cover:

• Voting.
• Immigration.
• Employment.
• Tax filing and taxation.
• Firearms licensing and registration.
• Medicare, Medicaid and private and public health ID.
• Other federal programs.
